This photo of 1stLt. Thomas
C. H. Biondo was taken prior to his becoming the OIC of the 105mm Howitzer
detachment on Hill 881S. He served in this capacity of the first
2/3 of the siege and was then sent down to the Khe Sanh Combat Base.
He was a very "hands on" artillery officer respected buy his men.

1stLt. Charles "Chuck" Schnieder,
a very capable artillery officer, was Captain Dabney's FO on the 20th of
January assault on Hill 881N. He was a talented photographer as well
as guitarist and singer. He provided all the troops with musical
interludes which helped keep their spirits high under extreme circumstances.

This photo of 1stLt. John T. "Tom" Esslinger was taken
prior to arriving on Hill 881S. Tom was the Commanding Officer of
Mike Company and later on, after departing the hill, became the CO of India
Company.

LCpl. Walter L. Whitesides was
a radio operator, Tactical Air Control Party from H&S/3/26 who was
attached to India Company from before the siege of Hill 881S and continued
in this capacity as India operated west of DaNang in the May-July time
frame. Later commissioned and retired as a Major. Last 10 plus
years with Northrup Grumman Corp.in major positions of responsibility.
