Distant view of CAS with Sgt. Jessup watching. I remember watching in horror as an F-4 was making a run over this ridge line and one of his  napalm canisters was hit by enemy fire.  The F-4 exploded, I don't know if the pilot was able to eject and subsequently rescued.

KSCB lies to left of photo. Remember the sight of that huge smoke plume rising above when enemy rounds set off their ammo dump?  Also, remember seeing the tracers fly that night Lang Vei was  attacked and overun by North Vietnamese tanks?

Imagine scanning right of where Sgt. Jessup is observing the airstrike above, this is the terrain you would see.  Can you still feel the ground trembling under your feet from the B-52 Arc Light bombings?
