Note the teeth on old YK-13.  This aircraft and crew was lost on Feb. 5, 1968 in the Hue City during a medical evacuation mission.  You may read that narrative by clicking here.-

The new YK-13 replaced the one shown above.  A bit later it too suffered severe battle damage and after she was repaired was given a new modex number of 12 7/8.-
