on his assigned radial with a 5,000 lb. external load. He will join
others of the "Supergaggle" to resupply the beleaguered Marines
of Khe Sanh.

"Tail-End-Charlie" joins flight from the Dong Ha LSA.
Upon arriving at Khe Sanh's hill outposts they will descend through the
clouds to be greeted with mortar and automatic weapons fire while providing
critically needed items.

This "Supergaggle" crew decided to orbit for a while
with their external load as Khe Sanh was again being attacked by the enemy.

The LZ was "hot" and a bit too tight, but this crew
completed the mission as expected. We were often reminded of the
damage the rotor blades could sustain and still get us home.
