The NAS Cubi Point air strip and Subic Bay.  This is where we parked the planes on solid ground, and gave them a good fresh water bath after being afloat on the "Happy Valley."

Trip to the Kitty Hawk for parts and mail. They had greater range with their aircraft. We looked and felt a little strange on their flight deck.

The anticipation of a possible letter exists in the piles on the elevator. Mail call will happen as soon as it can be separated. Getting mail for the ship helped our relationship with the sailors.

As we got closer to Vietnam again, we were issue weapons and in this picture we are getting the feel of the M-14 again. It was hard to hold a sight picture on a whitecap on a rolling ship.
