Cpl. Edward Richardson
Visits the Vietnam Memorial
Good afternoon,
My family and I were recently visiting Washington
DC and had the pleasure of meeting Cpl. Edward Richardson from your outfit
in Vietnam. The pain in his eyes and face were evident as he looked at
and tried to take a picture of 2ndLt. Michael Thomas's name. I took
two pictures for him and we spoke about the heroic actions of Michael Thomas
the day he lost his life in Vietnam. Prior to meeting and speaking with
Ed, I, a NAVY veteran (without combat experience), had a deep respect for
Vietnam veterans. Walking away from the Vietnam memorial that day with
tears in my eyes, I felt even deeper respect and appreciation for what
every one of you faced and endured for our country- and my daughter now
can say she understands and appreciates each of you as much as I do.
Thanks to each and every one of you who suffered so
much so others wouldn't have to. I proudly fly my flag memorial day in
honor of your outfit.
I am providing the pictures in hope that you can post
them on your website - both on Michael Thomas's page as well as Edward's
if possible.
Thank you.
