Cpl. David Kron Saves
Lt. Carlton B. Crenshaw's Life
When I returned to 3/26, after being medically evacuated
in mid April, Corporal Kron became my radio operator while I was the battalion
fire support coordinator with 3/26 during the May - September, 1968 period.
Corporal Kron was a great radio operator. When we were west of Da
Nang in June, our battalion was ambushed. The ambush was sprung on
the battalion command group. Corporal Kron saved my life while I
was on the radio when a NVA popped out of a spider hole directly in front
of me.
