RESOLUTION "THE PURPLE FOXES MEMORIAL PLAQUE" KNOW ALL MEN AND WOMEN by these presents that, WHEREAS the subject of this resolution is the consensus recordation, ratification, and authorization toward design, production and delivery of Memorial Bronze Plaque entitled Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 364
and further proposes mutual and joint appreciation and sharing in reimbursement costs in the amount of $7,260.61 initially advanced and funded by Major Franklin A. "Uncle Frank" Gulledge, Jr. USMC(Ret): and, WHEREAS the names of Purple Foxes inscribed hereon have distinguished themselves as Marines and Navy Corpsmen, among all who hold their memory dear by their singular gift of selfless action, placing the well being of others first, while breathing their last; and, WHEREAS the consensus of this "Gathering of Purple Foxes" to donate this Memorial Bronze Plaque to be property of the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation and the United States Marine Corps this 9th day of July 2004, as more particularly set forth in letter on behalf of the Board of Directors by President, Marine Corps Heritage Foundation, Lieutenant General Ron Christmas, USMC (Ret), together with other documents pertaining to the agreement with the Commanding General, Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton for loan to and mounting by "The Purple Foxes" HMM-364 within HMM-364 Squadron area at MCAS Camp Pendleton, for the length of its operational existence within the United States Marine Corps; and, WHEREAS an opportunity to discuss and exchange all comments and suggestions regarding this resolution has been offered, the pertinent details of which are contained in the supporting documents attached hereto and incorporated by reference as though fully set forth herein; and, WHEREUPON a call for a vote of this Resolution by voice vote has been heard, acclaimed and affirmed; IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED on this 9th day July in the year of our liberty and freedom 2004 that upon a quorum having been found present to consider this resolution, it is hereby passed by a consensus of this "Gathering of Purple Foxes"; and, IT IS HEREBY FURTHER RESOLVED that Major Franklin A. "Uncle Frank" Gulledge, Jr. USMC (Ret) is charged to receive the contributions of a grateful "Gathering of Foxes" with the intent that all funds advanced and funded shall have been reimbursed, as they are more particularly set forth in the attached Summary of Costs in the total amount of $7,260.61 to said "Uncle Frank" and any funds collected which exceed the costs incurred shall be contributed on behalf of "The Purple Foxes" to the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation; and, IT IS HEREBY FINALLY RESOLVED that this "Gathering of Purple Foxes" stands in grateful appreciation of the tireless efforts expended by Major Franklin A. "Uncle Frank" Gulledge, Jr. USMC (Ret) in his capacity as Webmaster of the Purple Fox Website http://www.hmm-364.org and the tireless efforts expended in support of the active duty Purple Foxes by that wonderful gathering of families and friends known as "The Foxy Ladies Society".
