ARVN troops digging in a 105-mm howitzer two miles
from the North Vietnam borer. This was prompted from the Tonkin
Gulf naval battle of 2 Aug. '64 and subsequent NVA buildup north of the
border. The helo brought General Khanh to inspect front-line positions.
