My close friend Charles "Chuck" Williams who served
as a 105 gunner on top of 881S died about two years ago of a massive heart
attack not far from here. I went to his funeral, where he had previously
arranged a Military send-off, honor guard and all. Chuck was
one of my closest Marine friends that I served with at Khe Sanh.
He finally, after almost 25 years, was officially diagnosed with PTSD.
Additionally Chuck received a head wound while he was up on Hill 881S
with us..
I will miss my dear friend and fellow Marine.
