Harry Blake "Stickman" Cole

To whom it may concern,

I was on Hill 881 South with 81's, our guy's are listed on the roster but, i just happened to remember and checked, noticed one is not listed. His name is Harry Blake Cole, or as we knew him as H.B Cole, eventually nick named him ''stickman'' because he was so skinny, The guy looked like the mad magazine cover Alfred E.Newman, right down to the freckles and big ears, skinny as a rail. Hence the nick name ''Stickman'' H.B and i ,shared my miscule bunker i had dug into the the side of the trench wall within Gun # 1's proximity. H.B was a mortarman / ammo man.

Had a great personality and was nothing but funny. He has since passed away, from what i have heard he had a wife and 2 daughters that he left behind. Please include him on the Hill 881 South roster as well. Tonight for some reason, H.B. Came to mind, it hit me like a big rock right between the eyes, i'll never forget him, i'm sure our other mortar men will agree with me, RIP H.B.

Thank You,
LCpl Dwight (Butch) Brown
