Sgt. Foyster "Willy" Williams, Jr. and his entire crew received a startling "wake up call" one night when an object dropped from the sky, passed through the aft rotor system and impacted the port rear section of YK-17.  It was determined to have been either a dud flare or dud mortar round.  Took a while to repair the damage.  For another image of damage to YK-17 click here.
