Cpl. Nicholas "Nick" Trosterud volunteered to fly as a gunner for HMM-364.  On his 19th birthday he was medically evacuated out of country.  His incident, the crash of YK-22 on 12-19-70.

The crew were supposed to be the presenters of these cards but, in the case of Cpl. Nicholas Trosterud, he was the recipient.  The stains on the card are his blood.
