2nd from the left standing, John D."Crash" Crider. Don't know where the nickname Crash came from. At the time he had more air medals than any other crew chief 69-70 as far as I know.  1st from the left kneeling, myself.

Lt. Ben Williams, the maker of heroes, real and fictional.  Was Awards Officer and I assisted him.  A great guy to work for and with.  Had a unique point of view which made you think.
