Although I haven't seen Lou Gulling for several years, he was one of my friends.  We served together at HMX, New River, and Viet Nam.  Last night I received a call from his wife, Ann.  Understandably she was reticient, but she gave me some details, all of which you may already know.

About six months ago Lou underwent open heart bypass surgery for several, (I think she said 4 or 5), bypasses and a valve replacement.  Not your run of the mill ingrown toenail treatment.  But she said he made a wonderful recovery and felt thirty years younger.

Then about the first of October he was diagonsed with two kinds of blood cancer, and passed away on October 29th.

Lou was CO of 364 in Viet Nam.  In fact, I think he was CO when it went over.

Ann said she will be selling the house, but her current address is 301 Teakwood Circle, Pensacola, FL 32506.

Semper Fi,

Harvey Britt
