From left front Cpl. Johnson,  Sgt. James Dallas "Big Jim" Shelton, Cpl. Gerald William Conner (both KIA 02-05-68 Crash of YK-13) and left rear Cpl. John Mardula (three Purple Hearts) sent to Okinawa to finish his tour.  He didn't want to go.

Capt. Earl R. Moore (taken during flight training).  Earl returned to Pensacola as a flight instructor. On Wednesday, Sept. 11, 1969, his training aircraft was in straight and level flight at 1,200 feet when it suddenly went inverted and crashed.
